This is a middle of the road/starter neighborhood. My house is on the main road through town so it's quite loud sometimes with the cars going back and forth all day. This neighborhood is also in an "unincorporated" part of the county so we do not get to enjoy resident rates at any of the nearby recreational facilities, such as the outdoor water parks and gyms. The neighborhood is safe, and people are friendly so it's not so bad.

This area is very close to multiple schools, so the importance of education and children is high. I would definitely chose to live here again because the area is only improving. The local government has recently put in effect a cityscape where all the stoplights, street signs, and more were updated, giving the city a new and welcoming feel. I see this city becoming popular among singles and married couples alike, as the schools, jobs, and location are great for each of those.
In West County the police presence is very prevalent and in the past when I've called them have responded in a timely fashion. In my encounters with the police force--the police have been professional and helpful, however; the St. Louis police have been accused of being corrupt and racist (in some of the rougher neighborhoods and when there has been rioting taking place).
