My parents (in their 90's) were born & raised in Purcell/Lexington/Byars areas. Lived here (most) all their lives. I love living here, I have no complaints. If I want more than Purcell offers, I drive up to Norman or the city (OKC). I hope it stays just the way it is for as long as I have left, and I plan on being around a long time! 😄

Our community really strives to make sure everyone has what they need. When someone near our street got their house caught on fire, where the entire house burned down, everyone made a GoFundMe to get them a new house and furniture. It was amazing.
I love the small town community! I have lived in this town for my whole life, and I couldn't recommend it any more than I already do! The people are friendly, the town is beautiful (especially since they are doing a beautifying project now). I am proud to say I am from Purcell, OK!
