Not my first choice to live here, but alright. The lake is a fun location to hangout in the summertime and lots of opportunity for ice fishing in the winter! Big city, but has a nice, quaint downtown with the cutest bakery! The schools are fine, definitely better than some surrounding schools but has issues size- also the city has people of all incomes, so there is some obvious tension in the high school because of that (in my own personal experience).

This quiet community has it all! A large lake excellent for swimming, boating, fishing, etc., many beautiful parks to cross country ski, hike, ride horses, camp, and picnic. Golfing enthusiasts will be delighted with several areas to practice their skill. If shopping is your passion, there are many malls close by and Mall of America is only a half hour away! Schools are highly rated for all grades and seniors have several outlets in community classes, centers, and living spaces. There is also the casino and several gyms to explore.
Prior Lake is a great small town community that is great for families. There are numerous options for community ed classes and youth sports and activities. It is only a half hour from Minneapolis, the Mall of America, and is close to Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. There are many parks and walking trails. Prior Lake offers year round activities on the lake, ranging from boating in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. The schools are top ranking. However, there is not much diversity. New shops and restaurants are popping up in Prior Lake, making it a great oppurtunity to support local businesses.
