I've lived in prestonsburg my entire life. It's my home town and with our new mayor, he's making huge, amazing changes to our great little town! Bringing back our Jenny Wiley swimming pool after being shut down for many years, the sky lift is being put back in. I just can't tell you how much our little town needed this! It's finally a place for tourists to come and learn our history, again!

I enjoy that i city is really a small town where everyone knows everybody. Traveling to Prestonsburg I notice throughout the city that there is more lawyers offices than anything else in the city. I would like to see more things along the lines of entertainment areas come into this part of the town to draw people in to bring more revenue into the city. By doing this we will create more jobs and help the economy grow larger and maybe bring in more " Name Brand" stores such as Target, Sams Club, or possibly even a small mall filled with at least twenty different stores.
It's nice quiet town in the hills of eastern kentucky, but barely any diversity. It doesn't have much as it only has a community college located in it and not many options for food.
