We're 20 minutes from the nearest town, so it makes it very hard to just run up to town if we need something. The schools seem to be behind in their curriculums, but have gotten better over the years that we've lived here. It's an extremely conservative and religious area, and in my opinion is far behind the times. I like the seclusion, but I don't like how inconvenient even the simplest things are. I most likely wouldn't choose to live in this particular area again, but maybe in a surrounding area.

Winter weather affects our area the most. We also have some difficulty with downed trees and power outages because it is a rural area with many trees. All of these are given appropriate responses.
People in our neighborhood are very friendly. Some neighbors have part time lake homes and we don't know them as well. It is easy to recognize many people in our community after being involved here for more than 20 years.
