The community in Prairie Village is great! While shopping at the Village or riding bikes around Meadowbrook park, people from around the neighborhood will smile and start conversations with you. The only issues are that there is a large lack of diversity and it's far more expensive than surrounding neighborhoods.

The city of Prairie Village is very safe and friendly. There are many families and job opportunities. Outside of PV, there are bigger cities such as KC which is always fun to explore. PV is a mainly liberal area, but the surrounding cities of Kansas are conservative and Republican. That being said, the majority of the people who reside here are white. There are some issues with race, but in all, PV is a lovely place to live in.
Prairie Village is a wonderful place to live! All of my friends live near and the traffic is light and controlled. Shawnee Mission East and Kansas City Christian are each wonderful high schools located in the area, along with several SMSD elementary and private elementary schools. All schools exceed in academic and extracurricular excellence. As a student, and senior, of SME I feel very prepared for college and believe East gives me the greatest education to prepare me for state university higher education along with elite, even ivy league, schools.
