I currently live in Prairie View temporarily as I attend college. It is a nice small town, however I do not see myself staying here after school. It's a little too small and country for me!

Prairie view is a extremely little town, in fact it's so little you could pass through the entire thing in a 2 minute drive down the highway. I believed that since it was so little it would have much character, but there seems to be a mini war going on between the prairie view home owners and the school itself. But the only people who lose are the students. With outdated stores and a lack of variety I restaurants, it makes this little town that much harder to manage. The nearest place to go to a decent grocery store is about a twenty minute drive up that familiar highway. There is much work that is needed to be done in order to make things better and i have much faith, but as of now it is a little too out of reach.
Prairie View, Texas is a city that can lead you to new opportunities. As a former resident, my life has changed tremendously-in a positive way. The university is the central part of the city, and it makes up the majority of the residents. Because of that, the population is diverse. There are people from all around the country, and even the world, that you can learn from. This city has a very calm and slow-paced environment. If you want country living, you have that in Prairie View, Texas.
