Initially when we moved to Powder Springs I had some hesitancy as it seemed to be too slow here. After living here a year now, I see that this area is still developing/expanding and great things are on the way. I like that it's a very quiet and safe area for families. The schools are pretty good. Hillgrove has excellent academics and Mceachern is beginning to make strides too (they have an excellent campus and nice sports programs). I also like the diversity in the community. Downtown will be renovated. Hopefully, they add some nice restaurants and stores to shop. However, there's great dining, shopping, and other fun in neighboring areas such as Kennesaw, Smyrna, Marietta, and in the city. This area is a hidden gem in the Atlanta metro and it seems like the mayor and community will add some shine to it in the very near future!

Nice town, especially the housing communities! Great public schooling, from elementary to high school. The educators really take pride in preparing our children for the world as well as doing it in a way that the new generations will even begin to listen.
Powder Springs is a great place to live! There are amazing schools and a grocery store on every corner. My only complaint is there is minimal to do at night time that does not cost money. Overall, Powder Springs is a family-friendly, educationally driven area with anything you may need to thrive.
