For a small town in Northwest Indiana, Portage is great place to live. Family friendly, quite and safe. The schools are great, with helpful staff in every school. Great small community, just not a lot to do as far as a night life unless you travel a bit to a bigger town nearby.

Portage provides their students with great opportunities to excel. I have two young children who are in the Portage school system, and I have experienced nothing but great things thus far.
I like living in Portage Township! It is an up and coming area. There are many great opportunities for education and employment. A variety of affordable housing options. Portage Township is an excellent community family and growth.
