I definitely rate the overall experience of this area as great. Of course there is always room for improvement and growth, but I would venture to say that it is a very family friendly environment. Compared to the rest of the country, I know that this area has been ranked as one of the safest, crime free neighborhoods. The general atmosphere of the area is very community oriented, always providing opportunities for people to come together and enjoy the city they live in!
Review Port St. Lucie
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Port St. Lucie at the age of 18. At first I was skeptical of the city as it was much smaller and slower compared to where I had just moved from. However, I began to appreciate certain characteristics of Port St. Lucie that you may not be able to experience in a major metropolitan area. For example, daily commutes to work are much quicker and easier opposed to major cities. Also, visiting grocery stores, restaurants, and gyms are much more enjoyable due to the smaller crowds and friendlier customer service. Although the nightlife is dull and there may not be many job opportunities, Port St. Lucie is a quaint little city in South Florida that is the perfect getaway for anyone who has previously lived in a major metropolitan area.
The City of Port St.Lucie is accommodating, friendly and quiet. It houses alot of retired residents and visitors from the northern Sates seeking to get away from the cold and busy city life. I often visit the city during christmas time and while the malls are busy and crowded, their is not much activities and entertainment for teens and young adults. The city lacks sufficient public transportation as the city bus comes every hour and sends the last bus at six, not much time to explore the mall in the late afternoon if you're depending public transport.i would definitely would like to see the city extend it public transport operating hours and more more buses to their fleet. Nevertheless i felt safe ,relaxed and peaceful during my time there and if definitely my go to city for relaxation.2
