I could see PSL being a nice place for people looking to retire and relax, but as a city overall, there isn’t a whole lot of structure or character. There’s no bridges to Hutchinson island which is where all of our beaches are, and there is a lack of jobs. A lot of the younger people who grow up here end up moving to Orlando or Tampa since there aren’t many opportunities to grow here. However, is is a safe town, the weather is great, and it’s pretty quiet which is why I could see it being a good place for people to retire!

Great area for families, students, and tourists. We have everything you would imagine a beach town to have. From 5 star hotels, beautiful clean beaches, gorgeous sunrises/sunsets, welcoming community, and best of all PUBLIX!
Need a local place to settle down, with little to no traffic, Port St. Lucie is the town for you. Most elders often find retirement in this humble abode, since the amount of houses for sale are constantly increasing. Construction is almost always occurring to better improve the town. Not to mention, they are consistently fixes are roads, to make it safer for new and old drivers. I love Port St. Lucie, because everything you need is conveniently always nearby. Grocery stores, tire stores, and many food places to satisfy all of your needs. If ever things seem a little bland, you can always go to the local Carmike theater, along with the exciting SuperPlay.
