We are planning a vacation there this June. I just wanted to post on many of the comments on nothing to do there. My wife and I are avid hikers, bikers, swimmers, and fisherman. I find that in an area with limited attractions like Disney world, many people who's idea of things to do include shopping eating, and amusement parks equate lack of these as nothing to do. Get out and smell the fresh air!

Port St. Lucie is a great place to raise a family. Homes are very affordable. The city is building up quickly. There are quiet neighborhoods and a great public school system. My family has been here since 1983, and Port St. Lucie has changed over the years for the better. Every thing you need is here. There are several sport organizations for the children to be involved with. I would not want to be anywhere else in Florida, but Port St. Lucie!
I moved to Port St Lucie four years ago from Michigan. There are many friendly neighbors, but most of the city is residential, leaving a narrow gap for job opportunities. I like how everyone I meet in this area is always helpful and incredibly nice. I can't stand how there are not enough entertainment/attraction sites. Recently, on one of the mainly used roads, there was another bank added. There could've been a new, original restaurant that would've raised the economic status or even something in high revenue or demand. However, many creative and colorful landscaping has been added, along with new lamposts and hurricane-proof electrical aspects. Some spots need fixing, but it is home to many wonderful people, including myself.
