Port Jefferson is a great small town on the North Shore of Long Island. It's quaint, with lots of shops, restaurants to suit every taste. The ferry will take you to New England too! Mather Hospital is a wonderful institution located in the village as well. The beach is great too. Primarily the park located not too far from the ferry is great for summer concerts and the like. There is also a VILLAGE CENTER with lots of recreational programs. And of course the Port Jefferson Free Library is great on chilly winter days to curl up with a good book. In short, a good place to live, work, and play.

I love living in Port Jeff. If you want to have a nice day, downtown Port Jeff is the place to be. You can go to the beach if you like to take long walks on beaches. There are many food options if you are feeling hungry. If you want to go see a play you can always find one a Theater Three. The school system is great and all the teachers truly do care about how their students are doing and will provide a lot of support if the student needs it.
