Port Arthur is a small town with plenty of restaurants and plenty of oil jobs! With that being said there isn’t much to do around here besides eat out and maybe go fishing or shopping. Public education isn’t the best and it isn’t the safest place but it isn’t the most dangerous either. Overall it isn’t terrible but it isn’t anyone’s first choice to plant roots. Maybe this town will thrive a few generations down the road!

I like some of the sceneries in Port Arthur, like the golf course and lake. I also enjoy living by the mall. The weather is beautiful and i enjoy being outdoors. I do plan on becoming more involved in society like joining a fitness group and finding a dance school that is right for me. They have the YMCA down the street from my house. I plan to go swimming or exercising there too! I feel as long as I stay active in Port Arthur I can enjoy the city better. The interesting thing about the city is that it has it's own college and provides other resources to help people win in life.
I am a native of Port Arthur. Growing up, as a kid, I couldn’t wait to leave this place. In comparison to the world outside of this small town it seemed like all the opportunities were outside this place. So, immediately following graduation I moved away and pursued a college career. Little to my knowledge the world moves at faster pace once you leave the comfort of home. And PA is home to me. A lot of the things I took for granted were here waiting for me upon my failed attempt at college on my own.

Port Arthur offers a rich industrial history and growing population that invests in its local educational institutions from elementary level to graduate school.

Like no other community, you can attend school, intern and fall right into a desired profession and never have to leave the community.
