I love the people of Poplar Bluff! They are very friendly and courteous. They will go out of their way to help anyone they see who is in need. Poplar Bluff is the site of Three Rivers College which offers affordable tuition to area students. The education is wonderful! TRC has a very wide based variety of academic opportunities with caring instructors who will go out of their way to help their students. The city of Poplar Bluff is growing by leaps and bounds...there are job opportunities becoming available, there are many churches to attend, and many volunteer opportunities.

I can find nothing that needs to be changed in my community. It has given me the opportunity at 60 years of age to attend college and pursue my dream of becoming a business manager. The sky is the limit, and I know I owe that all to my community!

Living in Poplar Bluff has been a decent experience for me. My family and friends are what make me want to continue living here. Due to the small population, I've noticed people are able to recognize each other more easily. I often run into random people who are friendly. However, the biggest issue in Poplar Bluff is the lack of great job opportunities. To utilize skills for in-demand jobs, you will most likely have to relocate. Poplar Bluff also lacks a variety of entertaining locations.
Poplar Bluff is a great place to live! It is growing daily with new stores being built causing more job opportunities to be available. It's a great place to start a career at the great college, Three Rivers College.
