Pocomoke City is a small town, that is very family friendly. There is a park downtown where festivals also happen. There is a ball park near a little development. It has a movie theater on the main street, along with a dress shop. If food is a concern, worry no more, because there are several different restaurants, chain and local to get tons of different types of food! The community here is quite safe, especially if you're looking to raise kids. There are job opportunities in town but there are several close-by areas with even more opportunities. There is plenty of diversity. The nightlife isn't too grand though

I love the small town home like feeling although sometimes it gets annoying that everyone knows everybody because of how fast rumors can spread. We have a lot of people who care about each other which is great but we also have those who think they are better than everyone else and that really makes the environment change. There is a lot of support in the school system and in community events but there is not much to do for teenagers or really any age kids in town which often leads to kids getting in trouble and roaming the streets. I wish we had more opportunities to get together with friends but also wish that there was more activities to do throughout town.
I have lived in Pocomoke city 20+ years of my life and have loved every bit of it. Pocomoke is like one big family we all get along it is the most friendly city on the Eastern shore. It is very quiet Worcester County is rated one of the top schools in Maryland if not the top. We hold several state championship titles because of the hard work and dedication from Pocomoke High Schools coaches, staff, players, and family.
