Pocahontas is a smal town ,but it is comfy and you get to know a lot of people. There are a few places that would make Pocahontas better like more food places and coffee places. Usually for shopping and nails we go out of town.
Pocahontas is overall, a great town. It is very laid back, most of the community is friendly, there for each other, it's relatively quiet, and has a great school. It just doesn't have too much to do which is understandable for a small town.
Pocahontas is where I have been residing for over 5 years now. Pocahontas is considered to be a big town, but it doesn't feel very big. That's the best part. No matter where you go, Walmart, Gas Station, Tanning Salon, Burger King, you will see someone you know. Most likely more than one person. It's not just a town, it's a family.
Pocahontas is a stereotypical small, southern town. It is very intimate and family like. Everyone knows everyone and that aspect has pros and cons. It is also very stagnant with no room for growth or real success outside of the towns own small standards.
Cute, small town. Generally nice, friendly people. Conservative school system that supports high moral values and freedom to express them. It’s an expensive town to shop in but it does have everything you need.
Pocahontas is a nice community. The town is big enough for diversity but small enough you know pretty much everyone. There is not a whole lot to do here but it is about 45 minutes away from a bigger area.
Pocahontas needs more things to do for children and young adults. Also needs more restaurants. Generally a small town atmosphere. The public school does need to enforce school bullying.
Having more options for eating would be a plus. And the bridge getting fixed fast would also help. It is a good small town.
I like the Community Center although right now it just has one basketball court. There is really not much to do, there is no malls, but we have a walmart and a bowling alley.
When I moved to Pocahontas, I was very little. It is a very nice little town and is very friendly. I highly enjoyed growing up here.
Pocahontas, Arkansas is a very small town with a population of about 6,000. Many people wouldn't want to ever live in a small town, but I love it. Pocahontas is located in Randolph County which contains 5 different rivers. Since the closest city is an hour away, I love spending my time at the rivers. There is not anything in town for teenagers to do, so we spend our time fishing or in the student-section at our High School games. If I could change one thing about Pocahontas, I would add more things to do like a bowling alley, movie theater, skating rink, or even a new restaurant. We do not have too many choices when it comes to food. Pocahontas has a Don's Steakhouse, 3 different Mexican restaurants, a Chinese place, a Barbecue place, and an Italian restaurant in the Town's Square. I think that all 6,000 of us would love more choices of food.
I like the small town atmosphere. I would add some more options for teenagers. For example, movie theaters, etc...
The school district is great. The town is very political. Peco just built a big chicken business. they are hiring all shifts.
