- Town in New Jersey

There have been drug issues in our town - much like most towns. I worry it may get worse but know that the town and county are committed to improving it.
Love the rural area. There are farms to pick blueberries, strawberries and other veggies and fruits. It's a small town where you know many people. They are genuinely kind.
Not much goes on here.
I want to move out of this town as quickly as possible. There is no diversity, and everyone is racist. Everything is a half hour drive away which is very inconvenient. Compared to everywhere else in the country, it is ranked pretty low. I don't see New Egypt having a bright future.
It is okay, I would like to explore other living options.
New Egypt is an small, old fashioned town. The houses are generally well kept but very old. There are generally large yards and even gardens with driveways and both attached/detached garages. There is also quite a bit of farmland.
There really isn't any crime in the area besides typical teenage delinquency or petty theft. The police are around, but generally are very relaxed. There is not an organized neighborhood watch, but people would certainly notify authorities if need be.
Being in NJ, we usually experience some harsh winters with large winter storms and even blizzards half of the year. The other half of the year is either heavy rainfall or scorching temperatures, reaching the 100s in the summer.
There is no night-life or other quality bar scenes. There are a few nice family owned restaurants but otherwise the only available options are fast food places.
New Egypt is a small town with not many shops to offer other than the main grocery store, gas stations, drug stores, and the occasional pizza/coffee shop.
