I grew up in Pl, been here most of my life. Plum is a quiet town not like the city. you'll see more farms here and tall buildings, not to say were a farming town. It has great schools great place for kids to grow up. It's a very safe town not to much crime here. What i would like to see here is more development, for instance a walmart would be great out here, I know that would hurt small mom and pop stores but that was just a for instance. I love my town and just want Plum to be an even better town.
Plum is such a wonderful community to be a part of. There are many public schools as well a few Catholic schools to attend. It is located between Monroeville, Tarentum, Penn Hills, and Murrysville so there are a lot of other towns nearby. I have lived in Plum all my life and have always felt fortunate to live in such a great community. Everyone is supportive of each other and always ready to help a neighbor in need.
