Pleasant Township Reviews

Along with your average chain restaurants such as Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, and plenty of fast food, Angola offers some of the best kept food treasures you'll find. A locally owned place that I enjoy the most is called The Hatchery. The great and unique aspect of this dining experience is that there are two sides of the restaurant that provide vastly different charms. One side is an upscale bar setting with top shelf and house made drink specials and best pizza or burgers around. The opposite side provides an elegant dinner setting with a menu that offers fresh seafood and mouth watering steaks. This place is famous for their tuna flanks! If only I was willing to eat raw fish. It was recently remodeled and is more stunning than it was before with a new floor to ceiling fireplace that adds a cozy feel to the dining room. Another really neat thing about Angola is there are several locally owned restaurants that use only locally grown produce! It's an amazing feeling to know you are supporting a local business owner as well as the locals that provide the food.
When I was in college right after high school I lived in a very cheap apartment Lansing, MI; meaning it wasn't in the best part of town, but I was a poor college student. Angola is amazing compared to that! It's a clean and friendly town that has little crime. No town is without crime and with Angola growing at the rate that it is, there is bound to be more. Unfortunately, drugs seem to play a big part in smaller towns and that is what I hear on the news most often. Luckily, it's not running rampant through the town like some and we have a really good Police department that keeps most of it at bay. I strongly believe that informing our youth is the key to avoiding more drug related crimes. It should be up to the parents, but showing graphic images has a high success rate!
While I live in Angola, I work outside of it. My sister however, owns a hair salon in the historical district. She is in her third year and is currently looking for a bigger building because she is growing so quickly! There is a vast array of jobs in this area. We are very close to several major RV factories that provide many jobs to our residents. Our hospital has also recently expanded, again providing new jobs. Every time a new store opens up, which continues to happen, more jobs are created. Since Angola has grown so much as a town over the past decade and will continue to do so, there seems to be a never ending need for employees in our community!
