With a new mayor, he is definitely trying to expand the area businesses and bring more businesses into our area. Many mom-and-pop shops are able to remain in the area and are always a local favorite.
Typically generations live in my area or remain close by. Most people know everybody. The area is very pet friendly and there is actually a pet park specifically just to bring pets to.
I would describe the cuisine in my area as having many pizza places and bars around every corner. The best pizza place is by far Fort Ball Pizza Palace. There is a buffet that has excellent pizza and a great atmosphere to be in.
Overall, I enjoy the people in my area and I think it is a friendly atmosphere. To me it is a very nice town to live in and although it may not seem much to some, I am glad I grew up here.
There are usually community events put on by the library and local businesses. A big local event is the Relay for Life held at my local park. It attracts many people coming out to support the fight against cancer.
I am not really sure what the job outlook is. There are always help wanted signs, but I am not sure how the unemployment rate is.
The most vacant properties are in the downtown areas.
The town I live in is pretty small so the way to get around is cars, bikes, walking and the occasional taxi.
