Pleasant grove is a tiny town in Utah county. It has a extreme lack of diversity and it’s extremely conservative. If your looking for something fun to do, your first option is to either go to the local gym in the town nearby and drive 5 to 10 minutes or your other option is to drive 30+ minutes to Provo or Salt Lake City. Because there is very little opportunities in the schools and for fun activities to do many middle and high school students end up getting into trouble because there is not a lot of activities for this age group to do here. However if your looking for a quiet small town to move to for retirement or want to live in a small town this is the place for you. Because their is a lot of people that are LDS, many people are super nice. Unfortunately most people here and in the surrounding areas don’t have any respect for anyone and lots of people here in this city and the surrounding cities will secretly make fun of if your the slightest bit different.
I love it here. The community has a tight bond like I've never seen before. everyone here is so kind and will always be willing to help someone out. Lots of LDS people here too. This town used to be an orchard town before most of them got pushed over. My family is the last standing family that owns an orchard from the pioneers. The only bummer about this place is the roads and maybe the outdoor pool. The roads here are very bumpy and need to be redone, and the pool is old and needs to be redone. Other than those two things, I love it here and I think that it's one of the safest places in the USA.
This is a safe, family oriented community that is growing. It is centrally located between Salt Lake and Provo. It is just 15 minutes from the university. There has been a lot of business expansion and new housing in the last few years which has refreshed the cityscape. I appreciate that the city is well maintained and dressed for festive occasions such as the 4th of July and Christmas. Within a short distance, I am able to find many shop and restaurant choices, which is so convenient.
