Great small town living! Plattsmouth is close enough to the city for everything you might need, or for all your entertainment options. Yet Plattsmouth is just far enough away to keep that small town atmosphere.

It's a cute town. Not much happens though. There is a HyVee, some local and chain restaurants, and some bars and churches. It isn't really dangerous either. The schools are nice, but have room for improvement. There is also a local community center and outdoor pool open during the summer.
I enjoy the size of Plattsmouth. It's small and easy to navigate. Everywhere you go is within walking distance and downtown is old town style (brick buildings and old lamp posts among other things). I like that. It gives Plattsmouth a sense of uniqueness.

There are several small businesses within Plattsmouth (some of which are family owned). We have a German/Thai restaurant and a soda fountain café (both serve amazing food). The courthouse has a clock tower that chimes every hour, giving Plattsmouth the feel of nostalgia.
