It offers a variety of housing stock, practices low impact development principles and has a town council/town manager form of government. It offers a true sense of community through its clubs, organizations, committees, commissions and town-wide events. Great Town to live in and raise a family. We are very happy with the elected officials as well and police. Plainville, still has a small town feel with easy access to bigger towns and cities. The town also has a good number of family places to eat and seems to expanding. We do not have experience with the public-school system but the options for preschools have been amazing and we highly recommend Plainville Early Learning Center to anyone looking. Moving here from the South was a very big change but we are happy that this has become a home away from home for us.
I have lived in Plainville for all of my life, and so far, I have had a positive experience. I believe that overall, it is a good place to grow up, though there is a general lack of things to do within the town at times and the businesses don't tend to have much staying power, constantly switching places or businesses downtown.
