Working in Plainfield
Plainfield is a very family friendly community with multiple parks for children, Perry Crossing for young adult, and nice restaurants for adults. The community is very lucky to be just 20 minutes from downtown Indianapolis creating the opportunity for adults to have a short commute to work. Plainfield is a great community to have a family in!
Plainfield is a suburb of Indianapolis. I enjoy the amenities of the small town feel but still have the opportunity to drive 20 minutes to downtown Indianapolis for all of the dining and events of the large city. I do believe that there is improvement to be made in Plainfield. I would like to see more equality for African Americans, such as myself, for better job opportunities and for more businesses to be owned by the black population. There is not a large black population in Plainfield and I would like to see an increase in that status.
I have lived in Plainfield for about 13 years. I have had many great memories in this town from shopping in Metropolis (now called Perry Crossing), watching movies at the movie theater, and either having a swim or exercising at the Recreation Center. I went to school in St. Susanna which is in Plainfield and had a great experience there. My parents owned 1 restaurant in Plainfield which was called El Cerrito Mexican Restaurant. And currently, own La Presa Mexican restaurant which is also in Plainfield. Plainfield is a great town and people are friendly. The only downside is that the town can get boring sometimes.
