This area was a great place to grow up. It is an extremely safe area full of anything a person could want. The schools are the highest of quality and there is always a fun activity to do around town. The village is full of cute shops and restaurants and is always expanding. In the city, an area around the University of Rochester called College Town has been expanding rapidly in the past couple of years. This area always has fun events for all ages. A few days ago I went to their Fire and Ice winter event in which local artisans created ice sculptures and fires were set up around the area for families to enjoy. Events such as this one are always happening all around Pittsford so there is always something to do. If I could do it all over again, I would undoubtedly live here again. I see a great future for this area, I'm sure it will continue to expand and grow for the better.
I grew up in Pittsford for the majority of my life. I went through the school systems which challenged me to become a better student however it was hard to fit in when I wasn't like my peers. I think in that aspect Pittsford can be a little repressing in some aspects if you don't fit in a cookie cutter image. But I have high hopes that while modern times will change, so will Pittsford.
Pittsford is an amazing place to live. Whether you’re starting out or settling down, its a lovely town. It is accepting of all races, religions and ethnicities. The people are kind and role models for raising a family. The school system--whether it be Sutherland or Mendon-- is an excellent choice. Both are nationally ranked and so highly regarded that private school is not necessary.
