I lived in Pittsburg for the past 10 years of my life. There are train tracks going all through town and a lot of times they stop on the track making many people late to work and school. There aren't very many places to hangout or eat. It's small so everybody knows each other. The schools are more worried about dress code than bullying. Also, you either have to go to Gilmer or Mount Pleasant to find a Walmart.

What I would to see change is how the school district was being run before I graduated from high school. STEM was not a really big deal in pittsburg, they did not have enough advanced classes that I would have wished to participated in. I liked it because I was in walking distance to the school. This would be very helpful when I would miss the bus or just be late. I really appreciated the community being very nice to others. Another change I wish to have seen are more shopping stores in general. Overall, I enjoyed my 18 years in Pittsburg.
I like that Pittsburg is a small town. It carries the classic small, cozy town vibe. Although it may not have many places open during the nighttime, it makes up for it by being a peaceful town. It doesn't stretch that far so everything is within a few miles away. It is a place where everyone knows everyone and so you're bound to see familiar places wherever you go, be it the grocery stores or one of our parks. Pittsburg is a small quaint town, allowing those who do not like the city life to come and not feel so pressured with their daily lives.
