I am not giving this the lowest rating possible because I've rarely experienced any scandals or crime on MY street. On other streets, however, people are constantly smoking/dealing drugs or otherwise causing a ruckus late at night. There has been evidence of drivers following/observing others (I have experienced this myself), but I am not aware of any kidnappings.
During my time here (I continue to live in this area, but on a different street), I have been mainly concerned with the prevalence of drug deals/consumption (many times near the local elementary school), aggressive dogs (some owners refuse to control their pets), occasional electrical issues, and improper street lighting of several streets.

A handful of houses in this area are absolutely beautiful, yet most are average or below average in appearance. Lawn cleanliness varies, but most are neat. Some properties have very small rooms, while a few have large rooms. Utility costs vary by monthly usage per household, but the storm-water utility bills are genuinely affordable (approx. $30).
Being that a take public transportation to school, transportation can become a problem. The weather here can instantaneously go from cold, to hot, to rainy.
