I love the atmosphere of Pinellas Park! During December, the street lights have Christmas lights on most of 49th street. It brings so much spirit to the city! I always see police offers patrolling the area around scary hours of the night, 12-4 am- and that makes me feel safe. The area is the perfect location to be close to everything and for road trips! Overall awesome community that I'm so happy to be apart of!

I have lived in Pinellas Park for about 4 years and find that there are a lot of nice things like the England Brother's Park and the Sacred Heart Catholic church which often have free public events. However, that being said there are some things that need to also be taken into consideration including drugs, homelessness and a very crowded and fast pace feel. It isn't as expensive in general as other areas of the county and is close to a lot of nice shopping and restaurants. While it isn't as unsafe as other areas in the county there are certainly safer areas to move to, but they also are more expensive, so it depends on what is more important to you, safety or financial mindedness.
As a small town, I like that community events are family friendly like “Movies is the Park” Carnivals, Food Festivals, and Holiday Celebrations. Also the library is actively involved in promoting literacy and hosts events to encourage families to spend time together. If you’re a senior citizen, there’s dance classes in an auditorium across from the senior center, shuffle board, and
BINGO. For art lovers, the downtown area (it’s small) has a lot of interesting art and cute exhibits. Although it’s small, this town has a bunch of activists that anyone can enjoy.
