Overall, okay place for families as it is a very rural area. Not a lot of jobs, but living is very affordable as most houses, and land is very cheap. The public schools suck, as the teachers have a very high turnover. Your children would be better off going to Hemphill Public school, as it has better teachers, more advanced education, a few museums, restaurants, and shops as well as a hospital, so if you can afford it, I would say live in Hemphill.

Growing up in a small town has both limited my opportunities and helped me grow as a person. The town does not offer much aside from having a few opportunities and being able to know everyone who lives here. The town comes together like a family when anyone needs support during hard times. Pineland has one of the highest unemployment rates in Texas, which is something I would like to see changed one day.
Pineland is a good little town where everyone pretty much knows everybody else. Every other year they have Pineland day that includes a parade and a bunch of other fun activities.
