We moved here three years ago mainly for our children education. Public school system is excellent. Public saftey is excellent. Property tax is outrageous but worth it if you have kids in public school system. Diversity is poor but slowly growing. Our kids love going to the strip district on the weekends. Many cool restaurants within 15 min drive. We including our kids love it here. Really quite happy with the move.
The school system is incredible. Pine-Richland is a nationally ranked school district, with very high test scores. Athletically, the school is very competitive as well. Wexford, and the surrounding neighborhoods, are growing exponentially. New restaurants, stores, and even a health pavilion are sprouting up all over. In some cases, you will find the people can be snobbish and a little entitled. This comes with the territory of an affluent, upper-middle class area, but mostly, the people are extremely kind and loving.
Generally, we have big company grocery stores like Giant Eagle and Whole foods. Most of our restaurants also are chain restaurants like Panera. However, there are many other small locally owned restaurants such as Off the Hook or Monte Cellos which are popular here! Our drug stores are also big company stores such as CVS or Rite-aid.
