I like living here, the people are nice. It feels safe when going down the block at night. The schools were ok because the friends I made were very nice. One of my favorite things that piedmont has is Duck week because for one week the whole community including the schools raise money for someone in their community that has cancer or another type of illness.
It's pretty much a town straight out of a country song. I can see cows outside the window in my math class. We drive by rural wheat fields every day on the way to school. The potholes in the roads are terrible and the town hasn't fixed them. The politics are unbelievably petty and excessive, as are most. There is a Piedmont Mom's Facebook page which is basically just a wall of complaints about other students and faculty. It's a wall of hate. We were named by a radio station in our area as, "The Snobbiest Town in Oklahoma" and instead of trying to prove them wrong, we made pink t-shirts saying "I'm a Piedmont Snob." I'm very unimpressed.
Piedmont, OK, is a wonderful place to be. The town has lots of ways for your entire family to get involved. Duck Week is a huge event here at Piedmont. The whole community comes together to raise money for a child with cancer. The money helps pay medical bills and this a time for the whole town to come together and raise money.
