Grew up here. Pretty much everyone here knows each other & ends up marrying someone from the same high school - woodmont. Very small & not much traffic. Not much to do besides enjoy the outdoors or hunting. Schools are great. They attentive to the students. For the most part the town is friendly, but very dated. Move here if you want some land a decently priced home.

Piedmont, South Carolina is a small town in the Upstate. It is only a hop, skip, and a short jump to the mountains, and only a few hours drive to get to the beach! Piedmont is a quiet family town. Housing is inexpensive. You can purchase a comfortable home with land and not break the bank! Hunting is popular, especially deer! I've seen three deer hanging out in my back yard! The fire department is a great group of guys that are quick to respond to any emergency!
Overall, Piedmont, SC, is a great place to raise a family.
Piedmont is a very diverse area, with one of the best schools in the state, Wren High School. There are many family owned restaurants that make you feel right at home. Because it is such a large area, there is a great diversity of housing, with many affordable options.
