Growing up in Pico Rivera, I have never had any problems or difficulties in the neighborhood. For the most part, I have never encountered any scary or negative experience and felt safe most of the time. The community is friendly, and the city has everything and anything you may need whether it be stores, departments, foods, resources, programs, activities, events, etc. I would recommend the city for anybody to consider.
What I like about Pico Rivera is the close knit community that we have. Pico Rivera is somewhat of a small community and feels like home the second you cross the city line. I like how involved the community is with the events that the city throws for us. My favorite event is concerts at the park during a nice summer evening.
What I don’t like or wish could change about the city is the criminal activity. The city needs to crack down more on the violence for the safety of their residents. Once we get control on the violence, Pico Rivera will be a solid five stars for me!

I have lived here for about three years now. I love how culture is represented and there is a sense of community. However, I would like to see less homelessness, more street repairs and a stronger sense of safety.
