- Town in New York
Rating 3.6 out of 5 5 reviews
Philipstown Is a small town where you will always have a good relationship with your neighbor. This is a great town to raise a small or even a larger family in as the schools in the area are AMAZING! (being that they are considerably small). Teachers take time to teach and help students due to the low amounts of students in the schools and the teachers dedication to teaching. Houses are mostly modern and otherwise ready to move in right after purchase. With many hiking trails in the area this is a great place for people who love the outdoors and peace and quiet.
I always feel safe, even late at night when no one is outside. It's a peaceful place
Surrounded by friendly people and a lively atmosphere
The area is not growing or welcoming to new business. There is nowhere for the local teenagers to go and hang out so they congregate in the Wal-Mart. The mall is more than half empty. It is getting to be very disappointing to live here. We will leave as soon as our youngest graduates high school.
Restaurants in Cold Spring used to be great, but frequently close and reopen with new menus that are hit-or-miss.
