Philipsburg Reviews
Rating 2 out of 5 2 reviews
Philipsburg, Montana, is a close-knit town known for it's ranching and tourist industry. Summertime is the height for the us, but Discovery Ski Resort opens the most business during the winter. The small town of 820 is very warm to visitors, but attempting to live here is difficult. When tragedy strikes, the town does come together to help others like they would their own family. Job opportunities are typically available to those that have the right connections with the right families. Real estate is targeted to wealthy families looking to retire in a quiet place or begin a ranching business. Most of the town folks will spend every weekend at one of the 5 bars (one is a brewery) in town or the other 3 just outside of town. The public school is very much into their sports, but the education retention is very poor. Many will choose to commute to one of the schools up to an hour and a half away.
Very petty people who are comfortable parroting ignorance and who do very little to improve their current conditions. It’s like living in the proverbial barrel of crabs. They all try to pull you down if only to elevate themselves for one moment.
