We’re new to the area and have looked around for homes in all of the nice suburbs around Austin. We ended up building a home in East Pflugerville (east of 130), and do not regret it at all. It’s a family friendly town! It’s the newer part of Pflugerville that used to be farmland, so all the homes & schools are relatively new. We have easy access to the 130 toll road. We have children that go to the new schools, Carpenter ES & Bohls MS, & they are both great schools! A+. Pflugerville is very diverse & is filling up with a lot of professionals from the tech industry. The area is growing so much and is going to continue to grow based, off city plans. Stone Hill Town Center has everything you need & have two H‑E‑B nearby. There are a lot of parks & trails throughout the town. There isn’t any public transportation in most of Pflugerville from what I’ve noticed. West Pflugerville may be a different story. It’s a older area that borders Austin right along the 35 freeway.
It's a great place to be! Great people, good food, and friendly neighbors. It's nice with a little bit of the country feel. Grass blowing, chickens clucking, birds chirping, and cow's mooing all in the name of a little country town.
Not too far from anything, everything needed is about 5 to 15 miles out. You have blue skies and a ray of sunshine that will put a smile on your face even on the worst of days.
Pflugerville is all about family. Making the closeness; of the town feel more like home with every waking day.
Now, you can visit here but keep going into Hutto, Roundrock, or Georgetown if you want to stay.

I'd say get here as soon as you can. The entire area is seeing explosive growth which for one I think is awesome, but it won't be long before you won't be able to afford that new home. Amazon, apple, tesla, dell, hp, facebook...they're all here or super close by. Take advantage now while you can. If you can move east of the 130, you'll really enjoy a newer home close to shopping and the roads. Yes, there is growth, yes there is some traffic, but compared to the rest of Austin area you're really in a prime spot. It seems the closer to I-25 you live the more crime there is so something to consider. Overall the schools seem great (kids are elementary age and we love it). Again however, the sooner you land a place the better as we're starting to see a real increase in housing costs. If you're from out of state be warned while there is no state tax, property taxes are crazy so consider that when purchasing a home!
