Petersburg is a small, seanic and history filled city about 25 miles south of Virginia's state capital Richmond. It provides gorgeous river scenery, delicious city eats and exciting historic meseaums. If Petersburg's natives could come together, embrace their community, and work together for the betterment of the city in which they reside, this city would be unstoppable!

The City of Petersburg is a beautiful city filled with plenty of historical places to visit. The old southern style homes along Washington and Sycamore Streets are breathe taking. Every now and then some one finds a cannon ball or civil war relic. The Appomattox run down beside the city. Bass, Perch, and many other fish can be caught. Every spring huge pools of Shad can be seen spawning. Petersburg can be a great place to raise children.
I like that Petersburg as a lower cost of living than the cities north of it, but it has less quality schools, stores, businesses, real estate, etc. Also there is a large smelly trash dump in the City, causing a fowl smell in that particular vicinity, as you approach, drive pass or exit the area. It affects the enjoyment or daily livelihood of the local community, whether going to work, school, or a day or night out on the town. I like that the Amtrak train station is convenient for residents of the City, who choose to go by train rather than taking the bus. It is just 10 minutes from where i reside, and i love that.
