Petersburg is a small, seanic and history filled city about 25 miles south of Virginia's state capital Richmond. It provides gorgeous river scenery, delicious city eats and exciting historic meseaums. If Petersburg's natives could come together, embrace their community, and work together for the betterment of the city in which they reside, this city would be unstoppable!

It is a quite city in my book and I feel it is just like other cities, however, it is quite close to other areas that makes this place interesting! It is only a few minutes to drive to Colonial Heights and Richmond. It is also about an hours drive to Virginia Beach as well.
Petersburg is a historical city seated on the James river. It has large battlefield parks where many battle were fought. It is 25 miles from Richmond, Va. Which was the capital of the confederatecy during the civil war. Train tracks and trussells that were used in the early days of Petersburg are still in use to this day. The city residence are older and many are military retirees. The Fort Lee army base is just outside the city limits. The city of Petersburg has always been connected to the military even in it's early days. The people are friendly and share a great heritage
