I've lived in Peterborough almost my entire life and have enjoyed it. If you really put in the effort and want that small-town feel you can get it here. You can also easily keep to yourself if that's what you like and I can't recall many unpleasant experiences with anybody working for the town or in general. The town itself is great but real estate gets expensive and there isn't much in the way of well-paying jobs unless you want to work in factories on the outskirts of town or in nearby towns.

Peterborough's motto is "A great town to live in." a statement that couldn't be more true for my experience growing up in this quintessential small town. Peterborough is a great home for anyone who loves the outdoors and a tightly knit community. It is the perfect place for young adults to make a home and start families, as well as enjoy a musical, creative social life.
Very tight-knit community that has an incredible focus on art and innovation. Slightly closed off from other communities, but what it offers is pretty great.
