I have lived in Perham, Minnesota for 12 years and I've loved every second of it. They have a lot of activities to keep you entertained, like turtle races in the summer. The only complaint I would have is there is nothing to do at night, other than go to a bar.
Small town with lots of character. Great schools and lots of work opportunities. Room for more diversity.
Perham is a quaint little town filled with unique and adorable mom-and-pop shops, a few popular fast-food chains, and some well-known businesses within the lakes area such as Service Foods, Dean's, Dollar Store, Shopko, etc. Many of these places are filled with friendly people. My particular favorite is the Bev's Booknook located on mainstreet, which I've been going to since I was a child. The biggest of these however is the big KLN company spanning over Barrel O' Fun chips, Kenney's Candy, Nutheads the chocolate factory, and Tuffy's dog food plant.
