Pensacola, Florida is an amazing small town where the beautiful vast beach sparkles during the day and amazing dining and shopping pleasures you by the evening. You get the benefit of walking through and reliving history in the old historic downtown Pensacola village and drive quickly over the bridge to the amazing white sanded beaches, then splurge on amazing seafood! Pensacola also has an amazing Naval Aviation Museum that is FREE to visit! Also, you just might hear the sound of jets by our famous Blue Angels flying by, they have air shows weekly and can be viewed from the museum or the beach. The people for the most part are pleasant and welcoming to tourists. The only thing I would change is crime rate.
Pensacola has notoriously beautiful beaches, and the views are breathtaking!
Overall, Pensacola is an up and coming small town, with old history and the desire to be new. Some issues I find with Pensacola are the lack of law enforcement presence where needed, as well as allocation of the number of officers in the same areas with low crime. The city is also plagued with half-finished roadway construction, trash thrown all around the city, and the growing number of homeless people without the appropriate resources.

The weather can be tricky, as it rains more in Pensacola than Seattle, but there is a military base here and another nearby providing civilian employment. Navy Federal has a major hub, and the solar and wind energy opportunities appear to be expanding. We have a port, a local stadium, and an airport.
Downtown has multiple food and entertainment venues and special events, as do several of the districts near to the Colleges. These include gallery night, a symphony, museums, and historic sites.
Outdoor activities nearby (within an hour) include fresh and saltwater fishing and boating, camping, multiple beaches, an aquarium, and a zoo.
Also, Mobile is just over an hour away if you really miss your downtown skyscrapers (only 35 stories, but it'll do).
