I have liked in Penns Grove my whole life, just like the major of the family. My mother and aunts say that it used to be a thriving town with clothing and shoe stores, restaurants, skating rinks, and tons of stores. Now, Penns Grove is home to one grocery store, a surplus of abandoned buildings, and a plethora of complacent, settlers.

It is not the best place to grow a family. Kids are not learning as they should in school. There is a lot of violence and crime in the area. I do not feel comfortable going out at night. There is not much to do in this area. Thee closest movie theater and mall are n Delaware 20-25 minutes away. Also only small local businesses in the area. There are a few restaurants close by in other towns.
The parents of my generation grew up with each other. They went to school together from kindergarten up until high school. People live here for a while. Some try to leave town but most end up coming back. At least 2 homeowners on every block own pets, especially dogs. As for community events, it is my opinion that there aren't enough. There could be much more. If it seems like the community cares, then maybe the kids will act differently.
