Pendleton is a wonderful place to grow up and live. We are a small town filled with a lot of kindness, support and hospitality. Everyone looks out for each other and helps out whenever needed. Pendleton is a very family oriented town, we have lots of activities indoors and outdoors for every family like, hiking, biking, many sport programs, art programs, museums, and many great family friendly restaurants. All in all, a great place to live.

This is a small town and is very family orientated, Crime is very minimal here, and we are close to the Blue Mountains, many people go up to hunt or to simply enjoy the beauty of nature, We live a few miles away from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and I have had the honor of growing up with and working around these people for many years, Although I am Latina, I have great respect and appreciation for different cultures beside my own. We are also know for our world famous Pendleton Round Up, it is great to see our little town visited by so many rodeo fans. A few things i wish we had more of was more community activities, we are friendly as is but it would be nice to have more involvement. Another thing that I would like to see is more diversity in the town, it seems like surrounding towns have a lot more diversity than we do. Other than that I am glad to have grown up here and would recommend it to anyone considering moving here!
This community is one of the older in Eastern Oregon, yet it continues to thrive as it grows. It is at a central point to other surrounding areas further east, west, north and south. There are many things to see and do year around. It is the gateway to the Wallowa Mountains of Eastern Oregon as well as the Blue Mountains. There are many amenities within this community, plus it is home to the world famous Pendleton Round-up and Pendleton Woolen Mills. Wildhorse Casino with its many amenities now includes a world class golf course, there are also regularly bookings of some big names in entertainment. Tribal has also gifted the whole region with a wonderful bus system which connects with local surrounding communities as well as to major communities to the north , east and west. The schools are above average and the newly expanded local hospital boasts of state of the art medical treatments.
