I am born an raised in pearl city. About 50% of the people are pretty nice people. I would say to make friends with the right people. When i went pearl city high school, I been, done, and seen almost everything. Ive been stabbed, mobbed, shot at , and lost one of my best friends from a stabbing. Its a pretty decent place if your moving here from somewhere else. Stores and shops are biking distance. If you have kids i suggest you to keep an eye on them and watch they hang out with.
Pearl City is a safe environment with many schools and parks. This place is affordable, family friendly, easy to commute and there is a bunch of diversity among everyone. Almost knows each other.
There is nothing to change about Pearl city. I love it the way it is. I grew up around pearl city and had a great childhood in oahu.
A small suburb of Honolulu, not much to see but it is home to a tight knit community. Plenty of delicious restaurants and just a stones throw from the downtown area.
Lived here my whole life and the community is so deeply rooted that everyone knows everyone. We all take care of each other and our community that we live in. The neighborhood supports the students that are in extra curricular activities such as sports, academics, and more.
Good location. Close to shopping centers. Easy to get on freeway from here. Nice parks in the area. Good schools.
Pearl City is a wonderful place to live if you can afford it. Everything is conveniently located. It is a nice place to raise a family.
Pearl City is filled with many friendly faces, and filled with wonderful public schools. This city is located in central Oahu, which makes it very convenient for driving to places.
it’s very quite. not a lot happens in the neighborhood. everyone is older so that’s why it’s so quiet. but there are some younger people but still not a big deal.
I graduated from Pearl City high school and went to intermediate and elementary there as well. The elementary schools are awesome when The intermediate and high schools academics and teaching staff is their downfall. Their isn't too much crime around that area so it's pretty safe to go out at night, a lot of young kids hang out in public places after 10 pm.
I like how Pearl City is a tight knit community. Everyone knows everyone and they're all kind. Grocery stores and local restaurants are in a very close proximity. One thing I would change is the bumpy, rough roads.
It is easy to know where everything is and shopping places are just down the road making it convenient for me.
Pearl City is an older city in central oahu. Homes are a little dated but the aging community still remain here due in part to convenience of stores and malls.
I really enjoy living in Pearl City. It's a safe city to live in if you're looking for a place to live in Hawaii. The commute to stores is short. There are many convenient stores everywhere. Since it is an older city, there isn't many fun things to do but it's great place to live in for your family. Everyone in the community is friendly and there's a lot of community activities.
I love that the people here are respectful for the most part. I never had trouble since I moved to this part. I love that it isn't as expensive as Honolulu but it is still one of the pricier places to live within the island
My experience with living in Pearl city was very great I would say. I lived next to a gym and my school so I could just walk there and I would feel completely safe. You could literally go any hour of the day to the outside courts and you wouldn't have to worry about anyone bothering you. The people there are friendly and you have many resources right there in Pearl city so you wouldn't have travel as far.
It is a nice place to live. It is very central so there is a good commute to anywhere on the island.
