I am always impressed by the cleanliness of the township. The roads are always clear and debris is quickly taken care of. The buildings are well-kept, as are lawns. Overall, the community has been very pleasant and family-oriented.

Every town has its moments, but State College is very safe. Being a single girl one would think I'd feel unsafe, but if you are aware of your surroundings and not oblivious - it's perfectly fine!
State College has a little bit of everything so nearly every walk of life can fit in. Downtown life is hopping with college students; nicer hotels, restaurants, country clubs, and country clubs cater to the more wealthy; access to many schools including Penn State and the sports and performances fancy the athletic and artsy. Rent is a little expensive due to the large number of students, but otherwise, State College has something for everyone.
