It may not be the most glamorous city, but I have had some fun experiences and met some amazing people that I would have never gotten to know if I didn’t live in Pataskala. I’ve grown up my whole life here, so I know nothing apart from it and find comfort in it. There is people of all different backgrounds, races, and ethnicity, which I think is cool. There is not a ton to do right inside of Pataskala besides eating or taking a stroll at a park, but it is still fairly close to a lot of popular activities.
I like the hometown feeling that Pataskala has; however, there is not much to do here. Additionally, the major political beliefs here go against my own, which can be frustrating to deal with at times. It is a safe town, but can be boring at times.
Family friendly with good school systems. Would like more dining options and pharmacy choices but overall a very nice area
I love this town. It's one of those where you know your neighbors and you have regulars at the businesses in town. At work I know most customers faces that come in if not their name. It is small but has everything you need while being close to the things we don't have. We are halfway between Columbus and Newark. Jobs are abundant with distribution centers with-in 15 minutes away. Most everything is in walking distance. The town is working on adding more sidewalks to make it safer to do so. Our town is growing and thriving. Honestly, I wouldn't change much. I mean why would I? Everyone cares for about everyone.
I like Pataskala because it is a small town with big city dreams. The people are friendly and motivate others to be successful as well. They understand that there is more than enough success to go around for everyone.
Absolutely terrible! The amount of homes city officials have allowed to be built is a complete disgrace. Quite frankly, I think it has made the place more of a eyesore.
Way too many cookie cutter homes! I hope people will understand that these cheaply built homes won’t last long. There is also no charm. One thing I will give them props on doing is halting residential developments on building eyesore homes. Hopefully it will last forever.
Pataskala is a beautiful small town that offers a wide variety of local shops and big chain restaurant such as Donato's. If you would like to travel to a big city like Columbus or travel to an upbeat area such as Pickerington, it is just a quick drive from Pataskala. Pataskala is very safe and comfortable, when you live there it won't take long for you to feel great about calling it home
Pataskala is a city that is just far enough away from everything that you do not get the business of a big city. However, it is still within driving distance to anything. Commute times are very easy. Most of the people in Pataskala are kind and caring. It is a great hometown community.
Pataskala is 20 minutes east of Columbus. I like to consider it the perfect distance away from a big city. You can easily get to downtown Columbus but you are away from the hustle and bustle of the big city life. Pataskala is quickly expanding and becoming larger and more populated but it still has a small town feel to it. People check on their neighbors and know them by first name bases. Pataskala is full of hard-working, kind individuals.
Pataskala is a great town to live in. It is a safe place you can walk around town without worry. There are many restaurants including pizza, pasta, mexican, subs, breakfast and of course there is a Starbucks. We have good ice cream chains and even a local shop called dairy hut. None of these restaurants are too expensive. Pataskala is located 20 minutes away from Columbus. This allows many job opportunities. There are many neighborhoods and also houses with a more rural setting.
I was born and raised in Pataskala. My daughter is fifth generation at the local schools. It is a very tight nit community but growing every day. It has a very small town feel but is 30 minutes from downtown Columbus and Newark Ohio. There are only 4 traffic lights and 1 major grocery store. What is nice is that the people are very friendly and are willing to help you at if you are ever in need. The small downtown coffee shop is a gathering place for the locals and several of the individuals that I graduated with still live in the community. We have a local museum run by the local "elders" in the community with an array of knowledge in the community.
Pataskala, Ohio is a safe community with friendly residents. The city would benefit from improving sidewalks and encouraging outdoor activities to improve the health of it's citizens.
Nice, suburb of Columbus. Commute to Columbus reasonable. Within 30 minutes of major shopping malls.
There is only one grocery store, Kroger. However, there are unique places to visit, such as a local meat market called Pataskala Meats and an apple orchard called Lynd's Fruit Farm. There isn't a whole lot to do. However, it has a nice hometown feel to it. The people are friendly and seem to really care about you. A bonus is that you don't usually have to wait in line at the store.
Pataskala offers a genuine small town experience! Everyone feels like family and helps each other out. It is close enough to bigger towns where you can do the things you can’t here! It is a great place to raise your children as the schools are small enough to get a personalied education! I love living in Pataskala!
Lack of diversity is hurting this town. Some great people here but the majority seem extreme right on social issues.
