I have lived in Pascagoula for about 6 years now, compared to the last town I lived in Pascagoula was a bit of a downgrade. The schools are very nice; however, the streets, not so much. Around the parks and small gas stations, you can usually see people loitering and hobos. Towards the back of one of our parks, there is "Tent City" where some people live in the woods. We also have a lot of local stores run by families and people who live in the town. Pascagoula is considered a shipbuilding city because of Ingalls Shipbuilding and Chevron, many people from Pascagoula, Gautier, Moss Point, and Vancleve work there.
Overall, it's an okay place to stay.

Rated on the top 100 communities by MGM and a good place to retire Pascagoula is a great town to live in. I am a student in pascagoula and the buildings are great, the people are great, the school staff is great, the food is great! I used to live in Miami and coming to pascagoula I found out that rent is way less costly. There is people from all over the world in a little town like pascagoula and they are nice people. There is a lot of opportunities, cheap living, family friendly, and lots of jobs.
It's a small town so everyone knows everyone. The sunsets are beautiful. The events are family oriented.
