I was raised here my entire life and I very well plan on starting my own family here as well. I love my city, I have become an active volunteer to city of Pasadena since the age of 15. I have enjoyed volunteering ever since then. My love for my city might also be due to the fact that my dad worked for City of Pasadena for over 30 years. He is now retired but he always has such a pride for his city. He has enjoyed seeing how much things have changed and for the better. I have been a voter in local elections since the very first election in march 2020, a month after I turned 18. I love Pasadena, it feels safe and where I live I have always said it I love it so much because I have all my necessary stores at just 5-7 minutes from my house. Great restaurants are super close to me, the beltway is close to me. Everything about this city is just awesome. I am blessed to live in Pasadena Texas!
I have lived in Pasadena my whole life. Like many other cities, it has its good side and bad side. The one of the advantages of living in this city is that you have Houston and many other cities near by. This leads to a booming diversity with a welcoming and friendly community. There are also many stores and shops that provide job opportunities to many people. Pasadena also resides near the refineries, which that on itself provides numerous jobs to people in Pasadena and nearby cities. However, these refineries do intoxicate the air sometimes. Many times, you can actually smell the chemicals in the air, which is not healthy.
The city of Pasadena is a great place to live! It's right outside of Houston so commuting to downtown or the medical center isn't too far of a drive. Recently, parks and roads have been improved. Housing is also much more affordable than other areas in Houston.
