Parowan is an amazing little town of less than 3,000 people total in the whole town! My high school had about 300 kids starting from 7th-12th. Because it was so small there were good things about it and bad. Some good things were the chance to know everyone and being able to be involved in a lot of different activities with the school since they didn’t have a lot of students. It gave me a chance to come out of my comfort zone and participate and meet new people and friends. Some disadvantages is maybe feeling a little naive to the “real world” out there. Since it’s so small and the community is so close then you don’t get to experience life where you don’t know everyone and it can sometimes be hard to leave that safe little town and experience different and new things. But overall I love my little town and what it has shaped me to be.
Parowan has a lot of potential in its community and it is a beautiful and quiet town. It is also a low crime area; However, within the schools it demonstrates a lack of respect for cultural differences. The community is overall friendly.
Parowan is a quiet little town nestled just below Brian Head. It is a relief when coming from the hustle and bustle of the city.
