Parma is a nice a nice and cozy little town. We have the park right in the middle and that draws in a lot of people during the summer for activities or tournaments. There are plenty of restaurants or shops in or around us which is really convenient. If I could change one thing though it would be the weather; There are a lot of places to go where you can be outdoors but this is upstate New York so the weather is rather unpredictable.
This past winter here was the coldest on record, ever! It was brutal. February was almost 100% below freezing and most of the time single digits or in the negative. The summers aren't bad. We laugh about the weather because we believe it's the only place you can get sunburn and frost bite in the same week, the weather changes so drastically so quickly.
There is a local restaurant "The Arlington" which has some great food at fair prices. However that is basically the only decent place to eat out. Hilton is mostly a country-like town and most other places are just average diners. The only grocery store is a Tops which has good deals but the quality isn't as great as say, a Wegmans. There is a CVS Pharmacy. A pizza shop called "Carbones" which is good however I don't believe they deliver. There is not much for entertainment. A bowling alley is in town across from Tops, but I have never been. No movie theater, skating, or rock climbing. There is a small gym but it doesn't scream "join me". Hilton isn't for young people who want to go out and have fun with friends, Its more for the reserved and frugal, who prefer to stay at home or on their farm. It's slow paced and quiet.
