Not far from downtown KC but has its own charm and life. Dog parks, mini golf, ice cream, walking trails, Parkville has a lot to offer. Has a good range of food from fast food, to bar and grills, to nice sit downs for the family. Does not have much of a nightlife but with PNL only a short drive away it gives you the easy option of amazing nightlife with the suburban lifestyle. It has two public schools available depending on location. Parkville and Parkville South, both are well known and respected schools. Decent sport teams and extracurricular activities for students. Both schools are also known to hold different summer camps at their locations during the summer to keep the kiddos happy and involved.
It's great! I lived here when I was little, and I am now back here again going through high school. It's a good place to be, lots of families, interesting places to visit, and it's not too far from the city. Enough people live in and around Parkville so it doesn't feel like a tiny town, but it is definitely not the city either. A good mix of both.
Parkville is a quaint and cute town located just 15 minutes away from downtown Kansas City! It offers great nature walks, shopping, eating and our beloved English landing park. The area is safe and well kept and has belongs to a wonderful school district!
