I live in Parkville with my husband. Our particular neighborhood is very quiet. We live close to an elementary school, but it is not loud or disruptive during school hours. We live in an apartment complex but are surrounded by single-family homes. I go for walks around the neighborhood and the houses are lovely and well-kept. When I pass by others on the street they are friendly and polite. We are in close proximity to almost anything you would need: gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, car services, etc. I would consider buying a home in this area when the time comes.
Parkville is a small town in Baltimore County Maryland and is situated in a convenient area between two larger areas, White Marsh and Towson. There is a Elementary school (Villa Cresta), middle school (Parkville Middle) and high school (Parkville High). The Rec Center offers many different things to do. I had done dance and baseball through them. For the majority of the time it is quiet with nothing too much going on. I recommend that families live here, it will always be home for me. One thing I do want to see more is community events otherwise it is very nice to live here.
I love that Parkville is near Baltimore City and has many amenities conveniently located and accessible at many hours of the day. However, there is a lot of drug dealing and crime. Also, my neighbors do not always care for their property and pets very well, which brings down the aesthetics and atmosphere of the neighborhood. Additionally, people drive very fast through the side streets, and pets and animals are often run over and left on the road, which is very sad.
